- Dr. Yo Imai-Marshall is a highly proficient orthodontic specialist
- We are able to provide top-level orthodontic care because all we do is orthodontics. We are the orthodontic experts. After dental school, orthodontists obtain 2-3 years of additional education, through accredited orthodontic residency programs, to become orthodontic specialists. Dr. Marshall spent more than 40hrs/wk for 2.5 years, establishing her strong foundation, in her orthodontic residency program.
- On the other hand, a general dentist, who may have taken a 10 to 400hr non-accredited course, doing a few orthodontic treatments, here and there, is likely a “Jack of all trades, master of none” when it comes to orthodontic treatments. General dentists are legally allowed to perform specialist procedures, even though they don’t do additional learning in accredited specialist residency programs.
- Safety is of the utmost importance in our practice.
- We hire a trainer to come every year to our office, so that we can be trained and be up-to-date with the latest in sterilization, cleaning and infection control protocols in the field of dentistry. We deliver the highest level of infection control and provide the highest level of protection for our patients.
